Bottle openers, cutting boards and lamps…

Micah is busy getting ready for our first-ever trip to the Steamboat Springs Farmers Market on July 19, and he has some pretty cool things coming off the bench in recent weeks.

His wall-mounted bottle openers are built using staves from bourbon barrels we received from a local brewery in Fort Collins. This is a material Micah uses as much as he can, as the age and wear of the wood gives it a unique color and texture, and since the staves are cut from hard oak it is a strong building material for just about anything. If you look carefully, you can find barrel staves in many of Micah’s goods.

We also have a variety of cutting boards ready to head up the hill. Many of them are built of a combination of a rare wood and something more common like maple. This batch includes bloodwood, purple heart, wormy maple, walnut and a handful of other beautiful and durable woods.

Also heading to the farmers market are a handful of lamps, clocks and cheese board utensils. These items were inspired by our own kitchen sets, with a little twist to make them unique, durable and beautiful.

We’ll have other items available at the booth – we want to keep a few secrets, and Micah is still dreaming up more good ideas. We hope to see you there!
